Cats and Doors

2 May

This is a paid review.

Clever Catty’s Opening Doors is a cute article. It has clips from youtubedotcom showcasing different cats opening doors. When I saw the clips my first thought was that someone was on the other side opening the door for them. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I wanted to throw that out at you. The article goes on to say that it’s cute when it’s someone else’s property being destroyed (cats digging their nails in the door while trying to open it) but it’s not so cute when it’s your new door.

The article goes on to describe the steps necessary to teach a cat not to scratch your property. They suggest putting cloth or netting on the surface of what you’re trying to protects because cats don’t like the feel. It also explains why the cats scratch different things. I didn’t know that it was a grooming thing. They need to sharpen their nails; it’s what they are programmed to do. Finally, the article concludes by giving a few suggestions on how to train your cat not to open doors.

The article is interesting, informative, and straight to the point. It is written in a manner that didn’t make me feel ignorant for not knowing about cats. It looks longer than it is and the bullets make it easy to scan. As a person who knows little about animals, it was a quick and pain free learning experience. Paid Posts

Last year I asked how people felt about paid reviews. Everybody seemed okay with the idea so I attempted to join ReviewMe.com. I was denied. Last night I got an e-mail saying I was accepted. The idea is that you pick what you want to review, accept an offer, and post a review. I’ve decided that I’m going to do it, sparingly, starting today. My next post will be a paid review. All posts that are paid reviews will be marked at the top of the post so that you know up front what I’m being paid to review. All reviews will still be my opinion, good or bad.
