I just don’t know. I’ve got a really good selection and I don’t know where to start. What is wrong with me?
So, the other day I picked up book three (I haven’t read any other in the series) of Charlaine Harris’ Harper Connelly series and loved the hell out of it. Harris’ is really good at making her heroines take several ass whoopin’s. LOL
Without further ado here’s the list:
- Blood Lines by Mel Odom
- The Warded Man by Peter V. Brett
- Bound by Light by Anna Windsor
- Kiss of Fate by Deborah Cooke
- Bedeviled by Maureen Child
- Marked by Passion by Kate Perry
- Blood Magic by Jennifer Lyon
- Death’s Daughter by Amber Benson
- Kitty and the Dead Man’s Hand by Carrie Vaughn
- A Perfect Darkness by Jaime Rush
- About a Dragon by G.A. Aiken
- Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken
- Every Move you Make by Carla Cassidy
- Blind Spot by Terri Persons
- Last Breath by Mariah Stewart
- Forgotten by Mariah Stewart
- Sirens by Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling
- Something Wicked by Evelyn Vaughn
- He Loves Me He Loves Me Not by Stephanie Rowe
- Fantasy an Anthology
- One Bite with a Stranger by Christine Warren
- Walk on the Wild Side by Christine Warren
- Single White Vampire by Lynsay Sands
I think there are a few more that I misplaced, but you get the point. So many good books to read and no where to start.
I’m a little pissy. I just realized that I read the G.A. Aiken books when they were printed under the Shelley Laurenston name. I’ve got them in ebook format. I might have bought them, but now I feel like I’ve been tricked. This sucks!
I had a hard time enjoying Amber Benson’s book. I’m about to review it and LOVED the heck out of Kitty and the Dead Man’s Hand. It’s not my favorite in the series, but still good.
Hi ho! Saw my book on your TBR list. Kewl! Hope you enjoy it! Come on over to my site and check out my Kick Butt First Line Contest! It’s fun to read the entries and you can enter, too. Cash prizes! It’s done March 2, though.
Cheers!

Regarding the Laurenston/Aiken thing: It should have been plainly noted on the cover that it was previously published under a different name. You feel like you were tricked because you were. I really don’t like when that happens to me. Can you return the books?
oo, read Death’s Daughter. Because I just ordered that from B&N. 🙂
Alice: What was wrong with it? Was it the pacing, writing, story line? You’re scaring me.
Rosie: I bought them from Amazon and I didn’t see anything about them being previously published until I opened the book and read Shelly’s letter to the reader. I was not happy. Maybe I missed some note on Amazon’s webpage (I don’t think so). I’m going back to check and ask about returning them.
Janicu: I put DD in my purse for the first book to start. LOL
Scifi guy pretty much did a good review on the same reasons on why I didn’t like it. The cover and the marketing of the book does not indicate that this book would be a light and fluffy book. It does have a cute puppy on the cover. The first chapter that is posted on the web is the best part of the book, but the main charater is hard to relate to. When you read it I would LOVE to know your reaction. =) It is different I will give it that.
